ASL AND THE FREE WHEELERS.

THE FREE WHEELERS disabled theatre and performance company- last year at the Leicester Square Theater bought the house down with a  brilliant dance and sequence and a specially written play- protesting about the lack of wheelchair access in many of Londons theatres- including the one we were in!

In July 2011 ASL produced a play called ‘SECRETS FROM THE LONG GRASS’ – this play was on for three weeks at The Brockley Jack Theatre in Brockley- it recieved wonderful reviews and was enjoyed by generous crowds. A period piece written by a former prisoner.

THE Artistic Director of the FREE WHEELERS- Susan Bryan- would like to adapt the play for performance by some of its  disabled actors and singers- to be performed at a recognized- WHEEL CHAIR FRIENDLY OF COURSE!- THEATER.
